We got the motion

Remember this post from over a month ago? The rumor won't die. MTV (feels so weird to say) had this to say. Ah, motion controls, how I love to hate thee.

and yes, the GTA IV bundle is real and yes, it's only for Europe.
Sorry yanks, but you get the White 40GB soon (as in before the MGS4 bundle).

You should

You should HAVE:

- You wanted it, but you didn't buy it Xbox fans. VF5 sold more on PS3 than Xbox, this is why most people don't bother porting games late. MGS4/FFXIII aren't hitting 360, ever. The next VF5 "expansion" will hit both systems, obviously since they have the engine on both.
- Psi-Ops! Stranglehold wasn't a huge hit either, but it was ok, would've been better if you could telepathically throw barrels into people.
- The Outfit. I said it before and I'll say it again; you suck when you don't buy strategy perfection on consoles, yet you buy gimped ports of LOTR and C&C3.

HAVE NOT:

- 50 Cent: Bulletproof 2 is so fucking goofy, I feel awful for the dev team. Why did you buy the first atrocity?
- Tony Hawk's Proving Ground... oh wait, haha Activision.
- Guitar Hero 3, if just for wanting $ for a plastic guitar to work with Rock Band. GH Aerosmith will hopefully bomb, so the other embarrassing band games don't come out, but they will. But seriously, don't even think of trying to get Zeppelin.

Surfergirl shoutout:
Her words:
5) In case you are wondering why Treyarch's Call of Duty 5 is an historical shooter, it started production following the completion of Call of Duty 3 (which Activision assured Infinity Ward would not be called Call of Duty 3 and would be a spin-off rather than an entry in the main series because they respected the work of Infinity Ward so much) when Call of Duty 4 was still a year from completion and not too many at Activision were confident that this modern warfare thing was going to be successful. Yes, unlike the nine month cycle for both Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and Call of Duty 3, the development of Call of Duty 5 is about two years long, so expect this to be far better their previous attempts.

My words from over a month ago.

More cod in the boat:
Unlike CoD3, I will definitely see you online in CoD5. I'm calling it the Pandora Tomorrow Multiplayer Effect. Decent single player game, worth a playthrough (though not as good as CoD1,2,4,6, but closer to the latter) although the multiplayer offers a different, fun, addictive experience. I don't like Activision's business practices, but this game is a contender, not AAA, but I'm not sure if I'd denounce a $60 purchase just yet.

Don't bother going outside

Mountain Dew is gross

It really is, how can anyone drink that nasty crap? I'm not even talking about that ass in a bottle Halo shit, the regular green crap, it's disgusting. Code Red's not bad, but I'm being nice.

- Gears of War 2 = 16 players online, 4 player online co-op, 4 player splitscreen is being attempted (as it is for 360 UT3, PS3 UT3 to get patch)
- Condemned 1 would have easily fit on Blu-ray, there were talks about a CE that included it, see; Stranglehold CE, hey Monolith, there's always PSN (just sayin')
- Don't be surprised to see a full sequel to Warhawk in Summer 2009/Spring 2010, Warhawk 1 is being milked like mad and was an experiment to see how retail on PSN faired (GT5P is trial #2)
- The Outfit was great and it's how you do strategy on consoles, but because you jerks would rather buy awful PC ports with gimped controls, The Outfit 2 was put on hold, of all the times to not listen to Major Nelson
- I saw Viva PiƱata talking to XBLA, saying she needed more space or their relationship wasn't going to work out

Motorstorm 2 to have level editor?

Apparently, they're showing off Motorstorm 2 this Wednesday.

Look forward to a level editor, because Sony's all about user-creation. It's also going to have jungle tracks and *crosses fingers* ice tracks.

Splitscreen is there, but the whiners will just find something else to complain about.

Spiderhawk of Duty

Addendum to the previous post on CoD5:

Next Spider-Man and Tony Hawk games may use the CoD4 engine as well.

Activision is looking to compete in the game engine space, since shooting past EA has made them quite brash. EA owns Criterion who is responsible for the Renderware engine.

Waggle Waggle

Is motion sensing a waste? Yeah, pretty much.

Microsoft still plans on releasing their motion sensing controller later this year, old games will be patched to support it and no one will really care. The decision is in limbo, because even at Microsoft, they realize how gimmicky it is.

However, it's still popular and it will make them money. How much it'll make is up for debate, which is why they're so silent about it.

Change is good, enough with the 2s

Four things:

- PS3 with BC and 160GB HDD coming soon?
- Ace Combat on PS3 will be called AC7, like Ridge Racer
- Star Wars: Republic Commando 2 to PS360PC in 2009
- Star Wars: Battlefront 3 will be shown off soon, Free Radical is busy chugging away (pun?) away at Haze now, SWBF3 should match if not surpass Resistance 2 in players, they're aiming for 75 online.

One CoD, 2 CoD, three cod, 4. CoD5, you are a whore

We all know Treyarch is doing CoD5. We all know it's WWII, again. Well Treyarch is really trying this time (Really!)

Remember United Offensive from Grey Matter and how it's the only CoD expansion pack, but yet the only not-shitty one that's not from Infinity Ward? Also note how it's PC only.

Treyarch is sorry for CoD3, but even more sorry that you chumps bought it, but I digress. CoD3 was rushed out in only 9 months to meet the holiday, even though that baby should have stayed in the oven a wee bit longer, eh?

So why should you care about CoD5? Well...
- CoD4 has a nice engine, shame if it went to waste, good thing it won't.
- 9 months? Pffffffffffft, CoD5's been in the oven for 2 years, this baby could take down Mike Tyson.
- Online co-op is pretty sweet right? If you think it's fun in CoD5, wait until you see it in CoD6 when IW takes their franchise to a whole new level
- It's going to PC! don't downplay it too much borys
- Speaking of CoD6, it's going to use a heavily modified CoD4 engine. 60fps it niiiiice :)
- SPEAKING of CoD4's agent, I mean engine, isn't that right 007? Yes, sorry for that slipup, my englizh speaking skillz sometimes fluctuate expeditiously. *cough*New Bond game = CoD4 engine.*cough* God, that engine's such a whore, being passed around more than that GoldenEye XBLA video.
- Oh and your favorite Halo weapon is coming, no, there is no prototype Plasma Rifle concealed in the Ark. I'm talking about the flaming tool of death. Just picture this wider, shinier and browner:

Rock Band is fucking metal

We all remember this glorious news about new Rock Band songs:

\m/

This post is in red, because it's metal and brutal and extreme. Also, I want you to buy 'Blinded by the Fear' on Rock Band. I know it's DRM'd and overpriced and only for use in this game, but c'mon THE FACE OF ALL YOUR FEARS!!!!!!!! Boot up your PS3s and 360s my young'ns and buy buy buy! I authorize you to be a consumer-whore when good metal is involved.

AT THE GATES IS IN ROCK BAND! BLINDED BY THE FEAR! Buy this motherfuckers and more metal will follow.

They've also got a song from The Haunted off "One Kill Wonder", arguably their least-crummy album. Don't buy the Metallica song, download it, waitaminute.... nah, I'm fucking around, ignore that rubbish, it's from RELOAD, which if I recall correctly is after And Justice For All, which makes it instant trash :) Now if they had some Kreator on there I'd go hogwild, yeeeeeeehaw!

Rumor has it they want to put this song in there, because the name is so fitting ;)

Yeah, The Berzerker would be funny and realistically, it's not going to happen (that whole 'banned by MTV' thing may play a part), but ya never know.... I mean, The Berzerker is on Earache Records, the same label that At the Gates and The Haunted are on. Well, The Haunted's on Century Media now, but "One Kill Wonder" was released on Earache.

This isn't Earache's first foray into gaming, as they also released that shitty racing game "Earache Extreme Metal Racing" with Metro3D that had a lot of bands of theirs as the soundtrack. For a good racing experience with heavy metal, just play a good racing game with Earache bands as custom music.

2-in-1 is a stupid term, because 1 is not big enough to hold 2

While interviewing Capcom Producer Ben Judd for our Bionic Commando: Rearmed preview today, we learned that not all versions of this hearty downloadable remake of the NES classic are being created equal. When the game hits this spring, the PlayStation Network version (as well as the PC incarnation) will have higher-res textures than the Xbox Live Arcade version. Blame Live Arcade's 150MB limit on file sizes, Judd explained.

"That's surprising to hear," says John Schappert, Microsoft's corporate VP of Xbox Live, Software, and Services, when we asked him about Capcom's issues later in the day. "Last I checked it was Capcom that had an exception to our file size with Street Fighter II [Hyper Fighting].... We raised our limit to 150 megs, which seems pretty darn great.... I don't think it has limited our games in any way. Look at Rez HD. Look at Poker Smash. Look at Undertow. These are very, very, very good games."

Microsoft doesn't have any plans to raise the limit, which Aaron Greenberg, group marketing manager for Xbox Live, sees as something tied into the whole Live Arcade mission statement. "We still want Arcade to stand more for quick pick-up-and-play games that are easy to download," he says. "They're still uniquely different than the retail games. We have to draw a line in the sand somewhere."

2 things for 2day:

- Nothing announced publicly, but XBLA size limit may increase from 150MB to 250MB since 256MB cards (arcade ships with them) are out. Microsoft is contemplating 500MB since they have 512MB cards, but they haven't included those with the arcade, yet.

- Remember The City of Metronome? No? Forgotten about it already? Sony hasn't.

In A.D. 2101, war was beginning

Main screen turn on.

There are too many nonsense gamer blogs that have copied SurferGirl. Skaterboy is an ok dude, but heavy metal and suicide do not go hand in hand, thoughI will let that slide........... for now **dundundun**
